Job Designation



Provide the financial leadership for OECO working as a business partner to the Vice President/General Manager. Maintains a system of internal accounting controls which comply with the accounting policies and procedures established by Meggitt PLC. Provide regularly required financial forecast, monthly actual analysis and financial leadership support to OECO and Meggitt PLC. Ensures the integrity of financial records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Meggittn OECO is a 60 year plus, global business, specializing in Power Generation, Conversion and Sensors products made for extreme environments for aerospace, defense and energy markets. Key customers include Boeing, Honeywell, Raytheon, Lockheed, Embraer and UTC. OECO is a wholly owned subsidiary of Meggitt, PLC. + Manage and review all finance & accounting activities


+ Business Partner to Vice President /General Manager of the business


+ Assist with annual tax return preparation


+ Issue monthly financial statements, including financial variance analysis


+ Prepare annual strategic financial plan


+ Prepare annual operating budget financial plan


+ Update and review financial policy deployment monthly


+ Preparation of new product development business case


+ Prepare financial evaluation of customer product bids


+ Manage Assistant Controller, Finance Planning Manager and Accounting team.


+ Oversee all collections and setting credit terms, accounts payable transactional activity, supplier terms & payments working closing with shared service group.


+ Engineering program forecast & impairment reviews/analysis (IFRS)


+ Manufacturing standard cost elements, absorption analysis and plant productivity






Job Specifications




+ Education:


+ Post-Secondary Degree in Finance or Accounting equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation.


+ Years Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience as a Vice President-Finance, Finance Director or Controller in a manufacturing environment


+ Skills:


+ Advanced degree and/or CPA preferred


+ Familiarity with an SAP MRP Operating System


+ Concepts of Lean Manufacturing.


+ Strong spreadsheet capability, primarily with Microsoft Excel.


+ Thorough understanding and experience of standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures including compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).


+ Excellent oral and written communication skills


+ Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to manage multiple projects simultaneously


+ Strong leadership, management, organizational and planning skills


+ Strong team development and management skills to enable the creation of a highly capable Finance and Accounting team.


+ Able to execute functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy.



Extensive knowledge of accounting, financial planning, reporting and analysis, acquired through related work experience in increasingly complex roles
