Perform procedures on patients of all ages, according to approved protocols, Patient safety, and established exam indicators. Schedule and obtain history from patients. Evaluate the appropriateness of requested exams to assist radiologists. Maintain knowledge of equipment and instruments/supplies pertinent to high quality exams. Provide internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity. May travel between SAHS sites.

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**


+ Registered as a Magnetic Resonance imaging (MR) and certified in Magnetic Resonance imaging (MR) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Oregon license required to support both Oregon and Idaho locations

+ American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification

+ One year of subspecialty or general MRI experience preferred

+ Must be able to work independently

+ Must have active driving privileges. If, during the course of employment, driving privileges change or colleague receives a driving citation, the colleague is required to notify their supervisor and/or HR


**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**


+ Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions

+ Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable)

+ Revenue Management: ensure the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients

+ Perform ordered procedures according to subspecialty protocols and procedures, ensuring that optimum exams are acquired in an efficient and timely manner. This could include providing general radiology and Computerized Tomography (CT) imaging at select hospitals within SAHS by assignment

+ Practice proper safety processes for entering the MRI suite including appropriate screening of patients, staff, and family members

+ Draw blood samples for processing and obtains IV access for administration of contrast

+ Respond to all patient care according to medical center's policies and procedures for patient care including, but not limited to, Code Blue Preparedness, Universal Precautions, Radiation Safety Standards and CPR

+ Keep accurate and updated documentation of medications on inventory and medications utilized

+ Schedule patients and radiologists for procedures, utilizing specialty area and departmental scheduling protocols


Respond to all equipment failures as notified with action taken to provide safety for patients and colleagues within MRI suite. Ensure services processes are activated to have service/maintenance respond to equipment failures
