St. Luke's Health System is currently seeking a Pyschiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to work in our rural primary care clinic in Baker City. We are looking for a candidate who has an interest and passion for rural healthcare and mental health, and who would like to have a significat, direct impact on the community. Baker City has limited access to Behavioral Health providers, so this position is a crucial component to treating patients and their mental health needs.

The PMHNP is responsible for providing high-quality healthcare through the diagnosis and treatment of patients with conditions ranging from mild, to acute and/or chronic. The PMHNP works under the supervision of a designated physician, and in collaboration with a team of other providers and staff.



Baker City is located in Eastern Oregon, where miles of scenic wilderness, working cattle ranches and basalt canyons are in place to enjoy. Baker City has a charming downtown. Its close proximoty to parts of the Snake River, the Oregon trail and Hells Canyon, plus the Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort make it an ideal location to live. With the Elkhorn Mountain Range to the west and the Eagle Caps to the East Baker City offers unlimited recreational opportunities including shopping and exceptional dining experiences in the historical district.


+ Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master's Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Oregon to practice as aPsychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

+ Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.

+ Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.

+ Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
